Carbon neutral stove
There are around 4 million people die every year due to air pollution at home. Because of the use of low-combustion efficiency stoves and large inhalation of polluting gases. Household air pollution can lead to non-communicable and chronic diseases such as stroke, heart disease, pneumonia, and lung cancer. Half of the deaths caused by pneumonia, in children under the age of 5 are caused by inhalation of a large amount of household air pollution.
Fuel is as indispensable as food. Wood fuel is still a necessity of life locally. Today's population in Africa (especially the urban population) has increased significantly, and the local government has rewarded industrial development, resulting in a sharp increase in fuel demand and a large number of logging of trees. Although the government issued a number of bans later, it is still useless. Many energy-consuming industries continue to transfer here, causing rural trees to disappear.
In the poor kitchen equipment in the countryside, respiratory-related diseases have always been the main cause of death, and the number of people continues to rise. The triggering factors are the exhaust gas produced by the cooking of factories, second-hand cars and three-point stoves. These are all hidden killers, and the threat of coexistence with smoke can be seen everywhere. The traditional three-stone open stove is often the culprit of burns of children in the countryside.
Carbon neutral stoves will solve health problems and deforestation. The addition of secondary air inlet improves the combustion efficiency, can completely burn wood, and use the law of effort to minimize waste smoke. High efficiency greatly reduces the use of wood and directly reduces the damage of deforestation on the environmental impact.
Within five years, there will be 420 schools in three counties of Uganda which are in Mukono, Buikwe, and Kaliro. Teach 5,000 households every year the production and maintenance of carbon neutral stoves. Improve the health of students and families in the community with teaching, reduce CO2 emissions, reduce the use of firewood, and save costs.
The kitchen is an important space in many mothers' lives. Here they feed their children and families but sacrifice their health and the environment. Climate change affects the operation of the world. The promotion of carbon-reducing stoves not only allows mothers to reduce the inhalation of harmful substances and avoid child burns but also slows down the cutting of trees, helping families and the environment. Invite you to be a participant in this carbon reduction program. Let's exert our influence together now!
