Climate change, defined as long-term shifts in weather patterns at local, regional, and global levels, is occurring at a rate unprecedented in the last 10,000 years. Scientific consensus confirms that human activity is the primary driver, largely through the intensification of the greenhouse effect caused by rising levels of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. The continued reliance on fossil fuels, deforestation, and unsustainable production systems has increased atmospheric carbon dioxide by nearly 50% since 1750, accelerating global warming and its associated health and environmental risks.
Mitigation efforts are therefore essential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and limit further temperature rise. Love Binti International (LBI) contributes to these efforts by promoting practical, community-led solutions that foster a green and inclusive economy. We work with local farmers and the youth to promote organic farming practices and the use of natural fertilisers that restore soil health, improve yields, and reduce reliance on chemical inputs that degrade ecosystems. By integrating environmental stewardship into menstrual health, livelihood skills, clean energy use, and sustainable agriculture, LBI serves as a catalyst for climate change mitigation at the community level.
